INSURANCE PROGRAMS

NECA offers comprehensive and competitive insurance programs that include dividend paying policies, which have been designed specifically to meet the insurance needs of NECA members. In addition, NECA consistently reviews insurance programs of all major insurance programs of all major insurance carriers to assure that NECA always has competitive programs available to its members on a continuing basis.

Employee Benefit Plan

Coverage includes Employee Life Insurance, Department Life Insurance, Group Health Insurance which can include the employee and dependent, and Long Term Disability Insurance. Applications for participation are accepted during Trustee-designated Open Enrollment periods.

Employer Protection Plan

Coverages include Workers' Compensation and Employee Liability, Building and Contents, General Liability, and Auto and Auto Physical Damage. There are also more than a hundred optional coverages available such as Umbrella, Bonds, Fiduciary Liability, and Directors and Officers liability coverages.

A Special Surety Bonding Programs for Electrical Contractors

The Surety Bonding Program which is designed for members only, is aimed at assisting electrical contractors in obtaining bid and performance bonds for the first time and to help members who are experiencing difficulty in acquiring bonds. Wage and Welfare bonds are also available under this program.

Bonds may be written up to $5 million at a very competitive rates depending on the experience and financial strength of the company.
